Hi! My name is Alistair, and my pronouns are masculine.
Having recently graduated from the College of Media and Publication with a shiny new certification in editing and proofreading, I set up Alistair Edits as the natural companion to my own writing practice.
As a writer, I am forever curious and always on the lookout for new ways to convey emotion. I have studied and continue to marvel at the classics, from Shakespeare to Flaubert to Pratchett. I hold a Master's degree in creative writing from the University of Glasgow, and a Bachelor's in film studies from the Sorbonne in Paris, both of which explored the technicality of artistic expression.

As your editor, I will:
hold up a mirror to your writing,
guide your hand without forcing it,
offer relevant examples and references to expand your tool kit,
ensure that, when you're breaking the rules, you're doing it on purpose.
While I am currently based in Atlantic Canada, I am more than happy to work in British or American English to suit your project.
